Import contacts from a CSV or Excel file

Use Import CSV / XLSX in Contacts and match each column of your file to a contact field or one of your custom properties. Before anything is saved, Ciarem checks the rows: you can download the rows with errors to fix them, or continue with the valid ones.

Update many contacts from one file

Admins use Bulk update in the Contacts header. The first column identifies each contact by phone, email, Instagram or contact ID, and the other columns are matched to the fields to change. Filled cells overwrite the current value and empty cells keep it.

  • Rows that match no one, match two people or repeat are listed in an error file

The same for your catalogs

Bring a product or price list into a catalog with Import CSV / XLSX. To change prices or stock across many records, use the catalog's Bulk update: the first column is the Record ID, and empty cells keep the current value.

Export what you need

Select contacts in the list and choose Export CSV. For reports, the Exports tab in Metrics generates conversations, messages, new contacts, agent and template performance as CSV, XLSX or PDF. When a customer asks for a copy of their data, Export all data on their contact builds one ZIP with everything.

  • The ZIP holds details, conversations, call transcripts, tasks, orders and files
  • It is deleted after 7 days, and the contact's timeline records the request

    In Contacts, click Import CSV / XLSX and download the example template if you want a starting point.

    Match the columns

    Upload the file and match each column to a contact field or a custom property. Ignore the columns you don't need.

    Review and import

    Download the rows with errors to fix them, or continue with the valid contacts.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Import CSV / XLSX accepts both formats, up to 100,000 rows and 50 MB per file.

Before importing, Ciarem flags rows with incomplete, duplicate or invalid data. You can download them to fix, or continue with only the valid contacts.
