Short links

Short links that tell you who clicked, right from the chat

Every link goes out on Ciarem's short domain, ciarem.link. Shorten it while you type, and Ciarem counts who opened it, from which channel, country and device.

Availability: Short links is an add-on included in your plan. An admin activates it under Settings > Add-ons; the Short links page is visible to admins.

Links you send into the dark

  • You send a quote or a payment link and never know if they opened it.

A link shortened in a conversation belongs to that contact, so you see exactly who clicked.

  • Long URLs look messy in a chat.

Paste a long URL, click Shorten, and it becomes a short ciarem.link in place.

  • You can't tell if your Instagram bio or your newsletter brings the clicks.

Named sources and charts by channel, country and referrer show where clicks come from.

Shorten as you type

Paste a long URL in the inbox composer and pause: a Shorten pill appears above it, and one click swaps it for your short link. The same pill shows up wherever text reaches a customer, from message templates and quick replies to your AI agent's first message.

  • A Shorten link button in the composer opens the full dialog
  • Track clicks on or off per link
  • Reuse an existing short link instead of creating another

See exactly who clicked

A link shortened inside a conversation is tied to that contact, that conversation and that channel. Send the same link to someone else and they get their own short URL. On the link's page, Short URLs lists one row per person with when it was sent, their clicks and the last click, plus Open conversation.

  • Clicked only shows just the people who opened it
  • A send counts only when the message actually went out

Links your AI sends are tracked too

With Shorten links sent by the AI on, links in your AI agent's replies are replaced with short links automatically. It is on by default, so you can see which customers opened the links the AI shared.

Know where clicks come from

Each link shows clicks over time and charts by channel, country, device, operating system and sender: your team, the AI or the WhatsApp Business app. For sharing outside a chat, like your Instagram bio or an email, create a named source and compare them.

  • Links, Sends, Clicked, Clicks, Unique clicks and Click rate for 7, 30 or 90 days
  • Link previews from WhatsApp, Meta, Slack or Telegram aren't counted as clicks
  • Ciarem doesn't store IP addresses or browser identifiers

No. Links use Ciarem's short domain, ciarem.link, the same for every workspace.

Not per person yet. A short link in a template is shared, so Ciarem counts its clicks but can't tell you who clicked. Links shortened in a conversation are tracked per recipient.

Yes. Changing the destination re-points every short link already sent, and you can also set an expiry date or turn a link off.

Meta's template review may reject a URL on a domain your business doesn't own. If that happens, keep the original URL in the template.
